Hint Hint....................................

or is it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was reading earlier on OIKOTIMES that the EBU have announced the rules for the 2008 song contest and state in their rules that there will be a maximum of 45 nationas competing in Belgrade.

Is this telling us that in fact there are already 45 countries taking part and that the places have been filled and that is with 10 days to go before all broadcasters are supposed to confirm participation:-

By my reckoning we already know for definate now about the following:-

Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Germany, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Finland, Albania, Bulgaria, Ireland, Turkey, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Belarus, Belgium, Slovenia, Austria, Switzerland, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Azerbaijan and Moldova.

Im sure we can safely say that the remaining nations from last year will be represented in Belgrade but what about the other 3 places????

Slovakia have made it known that they are interested....not suprisingly really since they wont want to be outdone by their neighbours Czech Republic.
Luxembourg have been trying to get back for the past couple of years but have always had a financial issue........maybe the OGAE Luxembourg get together has worked
Italy...........will they or wont they is the talk of Eurovision fans every year. The last Italian entrants were Jalisse with that fantastic song Fiumi di Parole which finished 4th......Come back Italy please.
Monaco didnt take part for 25 years before coming back in 2004 then withdrew again for 2007 due to bad results....well never getting from semi final......will 2 semi's help them???
San Marino.........is the latest country that Eurovision fans are talking about and it could be a big possibility that they are represented in Belgrade but only if RAI (the Italian Broadcaster) say yes.
Lebanon were due to take part in 2005 but withdrew, Morocco have vowed never to take part again, Tunisia announced in June 2007 that their government doesnt want them to enter, Liechtenstein dont have a Broadcaster even though they tried to enter in the 70's. The only other nations are The Vatican but really I cant see the Pope agreeing to represent them (lol) and Kazakhstan are a Transcontinental country like Azerbaijan and Turkey who would be eligible to participate if they were members of the EBU.

WHO WILL IT BE...................10 DAYS TO GO AND WE WILL KNOW
