...than 8th place is surely what the Armenians will want when they take part for the 3rd time in the Eurovision Song Contest. Andre with his 8th place in Athens and Hayko with his 8th place in Helsinki would surely class as a couple of great first years for Armenia. Personally I think they were lucky! "Without Your Love" which was the 1st song sung in the Semi Final of 2006 was in my opinion one of the worst performances of the evening. Give Andre his dues.........he did have a heavy cold that night and had had one all week which couldn't have made life easy for him during his Eurovision Week. But could you seriously say that the Andre's performance was better than the Slovene song "Mr Nobody" or Polands "Follow Your Heart" No matter what happens in Belgrade surely the Armenians will be guaranteed points from Georgia (who gave 12 points to them this year) and also Azerbaijan if they enter. GOOD LUCK ARMENIA!!!
Another British pop star has got in on the Eurovision act for 2008 with Duncan James formerly of the pop group "Blue" has co-written a song for Esther Sels which is called "Game Over". Don't be fooled though.....even with an English title the song will be the only one in the Belgian selection sung entirely in Dutch.

So it's the beginning of February and the UK are all ready for Eurovision . For so many years we've had to wait until the last minute before finding out who was going to represent us. However, with the passing of Wogan's reign over the ridicule of Eurovision in the UK, we were told that it was now time to take it seriously again to bring the Eurovision back to the UK shores, rather than being the laughing stock of the rest of Europe. With UK fans having been told this numerous times before by the BBC, could we believe that this year was any different? Enter Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber , probably one of the best musical writers ever known (well, in my eyes anyway!) Maybe we were going to take it seriously this time. Stepping into Wogan's shoes, to take it seriously.... we choose a comedian!!?! To choose our entrant, 5 shows - 4 being live, with Andrew Lloyd Webber writing the song for the winner. Seriousness is thrown out of the window right from the start with so...
